Successful First Commissioning of Furnace C in the Methanol Gasification Unit of the YuNengHua Improvement Project / Author/Source: WeiyuNengHua / Date: 2020-12-23 / Clicks: 7. On December 22, with close cooperation among process, equipment, and safety personnel, the first commissioning of Furnace C in the methanol gasification unit of this improvement project was successful, marking a milestone in the smooth startup of the entire methanol production complex. It is reported that the installation officially entered the on-site construction phase in December 2018. On August 29, 2019, the gasification framework was successfully completed. By the end of November 2019, over 90% of the 52 core devices in this framework had been installed, with a record of 18 devices being installed in a single day. Subsequently, thorough inspections and adjustments were carried out to identify and resolve any issues. All the personnel involved in this project demonstrated a spirit of hard work and willingness to contribute, completing one test after another. In the face of difficulties and challenges such as epidemic prevention and control and staff shortages, the entire team worked together in unity and made meticulous plans, strictly following the predetermined schedule and testing milestones to carry out all tasks related to standardized testing. As a result, tasks such as the oil circulation test for coal grinding mills, individual unit tests, stress-free inspection of process pipelines, debugging of instrument interlock control circuits, catalyst loading and heating in the shift converter, preheating of the gasifier, and joint testing of the three high-pressure coal slurry pumps were successfully completed. At the critical stage of feeding material into the gasifier, all personnel at the methanol gasification plant worked overtime and struggled tirelessly, undaunted by the severe weather conditions or the intense workload; their unprecedented unity and determination provided a solid guarantee for the successful feeding of materials. Next, all staff at the methanol center will continue to work hard, making unremitting efforts to achieve a successful first start-up of the methanol complex at the earliest possible time.
