Is the oil in the thermal oil furnace storage tank added directly from oil drums into the tank? Should the heat transfer oil be discharged into the storage tank after the water has been removed? We have some information here regarding the sampling of heat transfer oil! The sampling cooler requires a helper oil pump to draw cold oil from the storage tank in order to cool the hot oil used for sampling; this cooled oil is then sent back to the storage tank via a cold oil replacement pipeline. The heat transfer oil used in such applications must have had its water and hydrogen-containing components removed. 2054
