Low water-gas ratio conversion has many disadvantages. One of these disadvantages is that during this process, methanation reactions tend to occur; methanation reactions result in the formation of methyl-bound hydrogen, which subsequently leads to the production of methane; At the same time, the generated methyl groups tend to combine with sulfur to form compounds such as thioalcohols and thioethers, which have a significant impact on subsequent low-methane washing processes.
A low water vapor ratio is still not mature; many design institutes have given up on using such designs nowadays.
