Our unit uses the Dalian University of Technology computing package; the load involved is 32W for the transformed gas, with an actual operating power of around 28W, and a CO2 content of approximately 41%. The designed exhaust gas volume is 28,000–68,000 m3/h. All the analysis indicators are normal. The designed nitrogen stripping volume is 16,000 m3/h, while the actual usage is around 14,000 m3/h; the water addition volume is in m3/h. However, the exhaust stack always releases a large amount of water. The exhaust stack is about 90 meters tall; it is currently suspected that the volume of exhaust gas is high, the pressure is high, and the air velocity is high. Our factory also encountered the same problem before; acid rain fell from the vent pipes, and the plants and buildings in the vicinity were stained yellow. At first, I also suspected, just like you, that excessive liquid was present in the exhaust gas due to high emissions. Later, during a major maintenance effort, the exhaust gas scrubber was inspected, and it was found that the leakage of liquid was caused by the detachment of the trays in the scrubber.

It is recommended to stop the machine for maintenance of the demister. Also, what kind of packing is used in your plant’s exhaust gas scrubber? Is there an issue with the filler selection? It is also possible to appropriately reduce the temperature of the exhaust gas entering the scrubber tower, thereby reducing entrainment

It is recommended to stop the machine and check the wire mesh demister and tray plates. The nitrogen stripped is a bit excessive based on the amount of shift gas. It is recommended to reduce it appropriately.
Have marine enthusiasts analyzed why the tray came off? It is very likely that there is a problem with the tray design – it has low elasticity and high resistance, which causes the exhaust gas to blow the trays over.
