Recently, I’ve seen some posts criticizing the environmental crackdowns; some people argue that many businesses are unable to continue operating, which affects local economic development and leaves many workers without a source of income. Is it the impact on local economic development or the loss of income for workers that is the real issue? Must workers rely on destroying the environment to sustain their economic livelihoods? Will focusing on environmental protection necessarily reduce workers’ incomes?
Companies that cause environmental pollution, as well as those associated with them, will be greatly affected. The others should have little impact, right...
Environmental protection drives technological progress in enterprises, ensuring that benefits are no longer achieved at the expense of environmental and public resources. Cutting workers' wages is not advisable.
