On the morning of May 1, 2018, the 48,000 Nm3/h air separation unit of this project successfully produced high-quality oxygen and nitrogen products as expected. As a key component of the ethylene glycol production process, the successful commissioning of this air separation unit provided a solid foundation for the subsequent commissioning of the main processing units. Since the initial test run of the turbine on March 24, 2018, the air separation unit of this project completed, within 36 days, the purging and commissioning of the compressor units, pre-cooling and purification systems, pressure enhancement systems, and expansion systems; it also carried out tasks such as cooling the distillation tower system without insulation and filling it with perlite. All these tasks passed the inspection and acceptance tests on the first attempt. The successful outcomes are attributed to the high level of attention and strong support given to this project by the leadership of Donghua Company. In particular, the Donghua Qianxi project team, led by project manager Ma Hengping, resolved various challenges that arose during construction through proactive organization, scientific management, and close cooperation among all involved parties. This ensured that progress, quality, and safety were under control, while also demonstrating once again Donghua Company’s efficient project management skills and its corporate philosophy of \"excellent work and full customer satisfaction.\" The successful commissioning of the air separation unit represents only a temporary victory; Donghua Company will continue to increase its investment in the key process equipment, plan carefully to ensure that all operations related to this equipment are carried out according to the established plans, and strive to deliver the project with high quality and standards, thus producing high-grade ethylene glycol products. Link: The 300,000 tons per year coal-to-ethylene glycol project of Qianxi Coal Chemical is located in Qianxi County, Guizhou Province. This project was invested and constructed by Henan Energy and Chemical Group. The total investment in the gasification facility is approximately 720 million yuan, with 3 2800/3200-type space furnaces installed as supporting equipment. The main process for this project employs the CTEG high-chemical complex technology for producing ethylene glycol from syngas. Donghua Yuan is the general contractor for this project. Upon implementation of the project, an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of ethylene glycol will be achieved. In addition, it will also be possible to produce 41,200 tons of sulfuric acid per year, 432 tons of fractionates, 8,992 tons of fusel oils, 13,440 tons of light fractions, 6,048 tons of heavy fractions, 5,336 tons of DMO reconstituted components, and 17,576 tons of crude DMC.
