Recently, Xinjiang Qinghua Energy Group Co., Ltd. received a notification titled “Reply from the **Development and Reform Commission regarding the local joint engineering research centers (laboratories) for the year 2016**”. According to the notification, the **local joint engineering laboratory for coal-to-natural gas process technology**, established with the support of Xinjiang Qinghua Energy Group Co., Ltd. in collaboration with the **Research Center for Comprehensive Utilization of Low-Rank Coal in Energy Production**, the **Catalytic Engineering Technology Research Center**, and the Key Laboratory of Coal Science and Technology at Taiyuan University of Technology, has been designated by the National Development and Reform Commission. The Development and Reform Commission of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region requires the **local joint engineering laboratory** established by Xinjiang Qinghua Group to focus on the industrial characteristics and advantages in the field of coal-to-natural gas technology, to study and address key technical and equipment-related challenges in industry development, to promote technological progress and structural adjustment within the industry, and to continuously enhance the industry’s capacity for sustainable development.
