Author/Source: Date: 2017-02-15. Views: 2. Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group announced that recent progress has been made in the 150,000 tons per year syngas-to-oil demonstration project in Yulin; significant breakthroughs have been achieved in the key technologies. The FTO synthesis catalysts have been calibrated, and all parameters meet the requirements for production, with some values even exceeding the design specifications. This achievement lays the foundation for the smooth operation of the FTO synthesis unit at full capacity and for achieving the desired production levels as soon as possible. It is reported that the project achieved its first successful test run in September 2015, successfully producing heavy distillate oil and light distillate oil. At the same time, the company took a problem-oriented approach by actively coordinating relevant units to carry out corrective actions, and successfully overcame technical challenges such as low catalyst conversion rates and high methane selectivity. Catalyst preparation was completed on December 22, 2016, after which the second trial run began, with the plant operating at 40% load. From January 24th to 26th, the F-T synthesis catalyst underwent a 72-hour calibration, which played a positive role in enabling the plant to operate at full capacity.
Looking at this report, it seems there’s still a long way to go before reaching the level of Zhongke’s technology~
Our company has a synthetic gas FTO synthesis plant with an annual capacity of 100 tons of synthetic gas. With an excess supply of synthetic gas, it is possible to carry out scale-up experiments for applications using synthetic gas, such as the production of high-quality paraffins from synthetic gas; Teachers who are interested are requested to get in touch via private message or at 15603197987
It should be that there are some results from the pilot test; without data, it’s impossible to know how the catalyst performs Is it one’s own technology or something else? What does high methane selectivity mentioned in the report mean?
