Here, the odor remains strong even after the water seal tank was put into use, so nitrogen is used to keep it sealed. I’m not sure if there are any other good solutions
The previous set of deodorization equipment can be considered. Under normal circumstances, the raw material water tank does not experience negative pressure when there is feed, so it is not necessary to add nitrogen; in fact, adding nitrogen would increase the pressure in the tank, raising the risk of leaks. At present, I am using the exhaust gas deodorization equipment developed by the Fushun Research Institute – a vacuum pump is used to draw out the air from the top of the raw material water tank, and after absorption with diesel and alkaline treatment, this air is sent to the sulfur incinerator. The vacuum pump operates automatically based on the pressure in the raw material water tank, and nitrogen addition is also controlled automatically according to this pressure. Currently, the vacuum pump starts when the pressure reaches 500 Pa, stops when it drops below 300 Pa, and nitrogen is added to the tank when the pressure falls below 200 Pa
Now, to eliminate the hydrogen sulfide odor, it is sufficient to install a water seal and then supply a slight positive pressure of nitrogen; this will result in minimal emissions, which can be absorbed using amine solution to remove the hydrogen sulfide. After that, sulfur is produced.
It can be pumped to the sulfur production furnace using a liquid ring pump, in conjunction with a nitrogen self-acting valve
