On February 27, 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony for the land-leveling work of Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical’s coal tar deep processing project was held. The project is invested and constructed by Shaanxi Hengyuan Coal and Electricity Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 4.6 billion yuan. It includes the construction of a new coal pyrolysis unit with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons, a coal tar pretreatment unit with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons, a phenol removal and phenol refining unit with an annual capacity of 40,000 tons, a coal tar fluidized bed hydrocracking unit with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons, a coal tar fixed bed hydrocracking unit with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons, a naphtha continuous reforming unit with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, an aromatic extraction unit with an annual capacity of 240,000 tons, a sulfur recovery unit with an annual capacity of 8,000 tons, a coal-to-hydrogen production unit with a capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per hour, and a hydrogen purification (PSA) unit with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per hour. The project is scheduled to complete site grading by April 2017, officially commence construction in August 2017, and aim to be completed and put into operation by the end of June 2019.
Where? What are the market prospects for the project’s products? Why, for coal tar as well, is one process using a fluidized bed while the other uses a fixed bed?
How is the performance of the fluidized bed? Let’s wait and see
Where is the project? Are more technicians needed?
