Recently, the two standards prepared by Shenhua Group’s Coal-to-Oil Chemicals Company, namely “Naphtha from Direct Coal Liquefaction” and “Mixed Aromatics from Direct Coal Liquefaction”, have undergone expert review by the Technical Committee for Coal-to-Chemicals of the National Coal Chemicals Standardization Technical Committee. Following the discussions, the experts present gave full approval to the scientific basis for standard development, as well as to the expected impact of these standards on the development of the coal chemical industry. They agreed that there were sufficient reasons to establish the two standards, namely those related to directly liquefied naphtha from coal; the products covered by these standards possess distinct quality characteristics that meet the requirements for standard establishment. The development of such standards can facilitate the healthy growth of the industry involved in the direct liquefaction of coal, and it holds great significance for the development of the coal chemical industry. They unanimously agreed that the two standards, including those for directly liquefied naphtha from coal, should pass the review by the expert committee and can thus be issued as official standards. The introduction and implementation of these two standards will fill the gaps in domestic standards for related products, provide a reliable basis for quality control in the industry, and are of great significance for the healthy development of the coal-to-oil industry.
