The fire suppression steam should be added to the flue behind the furnace or cooler.
Is it structured? It should be to prevent overheating inside the furnace
Recently, I had the opportunity to work on a sulfur recovery project abroad, where, in accordance with local regulations, all heating furnaces (including incinerators) must be equipped with fire steam pipelines for use in extinguishing fires. However, domestic incinerators usually do not have fire-fighting steam, as there are no mandatory regulations in China.
For fire safety reasons, it is used to cool the furnace and extinguish fires.
I haven’t been exposed to it before, but I’ve still learned something about it. What is the exact location where the fire suppression steam connections are made?
In China, designs exist that involve the use of quenching steam in the air supply line leading to the exhaust gas incinerator, but this approach has never been actually used in practice; moreover, frost protection issues must be taken into account during winter. Whether it is necessary to install this steam system still needs to be carefully considered by the designers! !
There are also ones available domestically; the Klaus furnaces here have steam pipelines that are connected to the acid steam pipeline leading into the incinerator
Quenching steam is used, as is nitrogen, or both; it is introduced into the furnace after overheating to reduce temperature and prevent accidents
Generally, steam is connected to the burner and is used for cooling in the mode of burning fuel gas; it can also be used to reduce smoke and prevent carbon buildup
