With methanol prices so high and olefin prices staying low, aren’t factories in trouble?

The investment in an olefin project is substantial; a plant with a capacity of 600,000 tons per year and a methanol production unit requires an investment of 18 billion. As long as losses are minimal or non-existent, it’s better to keep the plant operating than to shut it down. The market is constantly changing, and one shouldn’t give up just because of market fluctuations
It’s a bit better if there are supporting devices upstream and downstream!
