The calibration expert group consists of 6 experts, including Professor-level Senior Engineer Wang Shoujian from Sinopec Group Corporation, Professor-level Senior Engineer Liang Longhu from Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd., Professor-level Senior Engineer Jiang Jiansheng from Inner Mongolia Yitai Group, Professor-level Senior Engineer Zhang Zhongqing from Sinopec Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute, Professor-level Senior Engineer Xiao Xiaoyu from China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd., and Professor-level Senior Engineer Liu Zheng from the Environmental Protection Institute of Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Technology. On October 9, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation organized a kickoff meeting for the calibration process. The expert group listened to a presentation by **Energy Group Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. regarding the construction and operation of the 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction demonstration plant, as well as the calibration plan and the preparations made for it. They finalized the calibration plan and confirmed the methods for calculating various calibration parameters. **Jiao Hongqiao, deputy chief engineer of Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. under the Energy Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech; leaders and representatives from the coal-to-oil division of Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. as well as Zhongke Synthetic Oil Technology Co., Ltd. were present at the launch ceremony. The meeting was chaired by Wang Xiujiang, deputy secretary-general of the Coal Chemicals Committee of the Petrochemical Federation. **The 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction demonstration project of Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd., an energy group, is a coal-to-oil industrialization demonstration project approved for construction during the 12th Five-Year Plan period by the **National Development and Reform Commission. The core technologies employed include the iron-based high-temperature slurry-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis integrated technology developed by Zhongke Synthetic Oil Technology Co., Ltd., as well as the dry coal powder pressurized gasification technology developed by Ningxia Coal Industry Company. Through technology integration and further innovation, this project has enabled large-scale industrial application and served as a demonstration for such industries, resulting in a set of coal-based synthetic oil technologies with complete independent intellectual property rights. On December 28, 2016, the project underwent a successful one-time trial run, completing the entire process and producing qualified oil products. To date, it has been in operation for 885 days in total, during which two major maintenance and upgrade campaigns were carried out, resulting in a total production of 6.847 million tons of oil-based products. During the calibration period, the expert team inspected on-site the main production units such as the air separation unit, gasification unit, purification unit, and oil synthesis and processing units, as well as the auxiliary systems including the power center, sewage treatment facilities, evaporation ponds, and circulating water mist elimination and cooling systems. They listened to detailed explanations provided by the technical personnel of each unit regarding their operation status, visited the central control room and the central laboratory, learned about the key operational control parameters for the main production units as well as the analysis and testing procedures for raw materials and products. Additionally, they gained insight into the measuring instruments, analytical equipment, methods used, and the calculation methods for various calibration parameters. During the calibration period, all devices operated smoothly, and the measurement and analytical testing were accurate, meeting the calibration requirements. On the morning of October 12, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation organized a meeting to summarize the calibration work, and Yao Min, deputy general manager of Energy Group Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Based on the inspection of on-site operation conditions and the analysis of calibration data, the device was able to operate at full capacity continuously and stably starting in December 2018, with a load level of 100%. During the 72-hour calibration period, the load remained stable at 95%, and 35,235.36 tons of refined oil products were produced, representing 96.67% of the designed output volume. It undertakes **37 major tasks related to the domestic development of technologies, equipment, and materials, with a localization rate of 98%. The project covers an area of 560.92 hectares, with an estimated total investment of 55 billion yuan (including taxes). It will produce 4.05 million tons of petroleum products per year, of which 2.73 million tons will be diesel, 980,000 tons naphtha, and 340,000 tons liquefied gas. Two production lines with a capacity of 2 million tons each for petroleum products will be built, enabling the processing of 20.46 million tons of coal per year. Priority will be given to carrying out million-ton-scale industrial demonstrations of the FTO synthesis and processing technology developed by Sinochem Synthetic Oil Company, as well as tasks aimed at achieving domestic production of key technologies, equipment, and critical materials such as the 2,200-ton capacity \"Shenning Furnace\" dry coal pressurized gasification technology and the air separation unit with a capacity of 100,000 standard cubic meters per hour.
