Huating Coal Industry accelerates the construction of its polypropylene project to full speed / Author/Source: Huating Coal Industry Date: 2020-07-13 Clicks: 50 Since the beginning of this year, Huating Coal Industry has ensured the safe and efficient progress of project construction, laying a solid foundation for the completion of the infrastructure work and the preliminary testing phase. At the construction site of the polypropylene project, tower cranes loom tall and machinery hums loudly; pipe welding, instrument testing, and cable organization are underway, with workers busy everywhere. In order to make up for the delayed project progress, all personnel at the polypropylene project’s planning office are working tirelessly and putting in extra hours to complete the work. As one of the main units in the polypropylene project, the propylene polymerization system also has a rather special startup procedure; it is usually carried out in a \"reverse startup\" manner, that is, the core equipment of the rear system, namely the extrusion granulation unit, is first tuned to proper operation, before the polymerization reactor in the front system is put into use. At present, through close cooperation between the personnel from the propylene polymerization team and the construction party, the extrusion granulation unit has completed tasks such as pipeline tightening, tank cleaning, setting up interfaces for oil filters, and establishing the proper flow pathways. In the next step, the unit’s oil circulation system will be put into full operation, with single-unit testing of the extrusion granulation unit expected to begin in November. The sulfurized bed methanol to propylene system, which is also one of the main units, has seen all its construction workers remain committed to meeting the set deadlines since the purging of the process pipelines began on March 31; they have taken responsibility more seriously, refined their measures, and made every effort to make up for the lost time. The purging of the plant’s instrument air, process air, low-pressure nitrogen main lines, as well as the low-pressure nitrogen pipelines in units 1520 and 1530 has been completed. Preparation for purging and reset operations are currently underway for the process gas pipelines of the compression and separation unit as well as other equipment; it is expected that all purging tasks will be finished by November. It is understood that while the main plant construction progresses in an orderly manner, the hardening of roads at the construction site, as well as the construction and installation of utility systems such as boiler units, circulating water systems, and desalination units, are all carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with the scheduled timelines.
