What type of process is used for hydrogen production from natural gas?

May I ask which type of hazardous chemical process does natural gas-based hydrogen production fall under, as specified in Document No. 116 issued by the State Administration for Work Safety? Is it reasonable to use hydrogenation and cracking processes? Why?
I think it’s reasonable. Because the production of hydrogen from natural gas mainly involves conversion reactions.
The process for producing hydrogen from natural gas involves high-temperature steam cracking, which is not hydrogenation but rather dehydrogenation. During the reaction, water vapor at high temperature acts as an oxidant, oxidizing the carbon in methane to carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, while hydrogen is released. Carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide are separated through alcohol amine or cryogenic washing, or via pressure swing adsorption, to obtain pure hydrogen.
