The hydrogenation refining fixed-bed reactor has two beds; the upper bed has a pressure drop limit of 0.4 Mpa. Is there a pressure drop limit for the lower bed? Is there also a pressure drop limit for the entire bed layer?
I think so; looking at the original design documents, it’s usually 4 bar
There are requirements for both the pressure difference between individual bed layers and the overall pressure difference in the reactor; check the design documents or consult the catalyst manufacturer
