Has the catalyst for hydrofining there lost its activity quickly? The desulfurization rate is too poor; either the subsequent stripping process isn’t activated, and as a result hydrogen sulfide isn’t removed. It is recommended to determine the morphology and distribution of sulfides, so as to assess the specific transformation of sulfides during hydrogenation. If it is only the high hydrogen sulfide content, then it indicates that the stripping is insufficient. If the content of other sulfur forms is very high, it indicates that the hydrogenation catalyst has lost its activity.
