On July 15, the high-performance polymer material production facility of Guangdong Jianyang New Materials Co., Ltd. began construction in the Foshan (Sanshui) New Materials Industrial Park. The project was invested and constructed by Zhejiang Jianyang Polymer Technology Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan. It covers an area of 100 mu, has a total construction area of 53,000 square meters, and will produce 168,000 tons of adhesives per year. Once completed, this production facility will manufacture a range of high-end adhesives and chemicals, including key products such as polyester polyols, PUR adhesives, solvent-free adhesives, and water-based adhesives. At the same time, deep integration of industry, academia, and research will be pursued; by leveraging the Jianyang Guangzhou R&D base as well as the abundant scientific research resources available in South China, school-enterprise cooperation will be strengthened to continuously develop high-performance, environmentally friendly new products. However, according to the environmental impact assessment documents, Guangdong Jianyang New Materials Co., Ltd. plans to invest a total of 670.727 million yuan in building a facility for the production of polymer materials. The construction site is located in Area B of the Datang Chemical Industry Park within the Fobei Zhanxin Industrial Park, with an overall annual production capacity of 168,000 tons. The project is expected to come online in December 2026. The planned production capacity for the project is 7,500 tons per year of polyurethane PUR adhesive A, 12,500 tons per year of polyurethane PUR adhesive B, 13,300 tons per year of solvent-free barrier film adhesive A, 6,700 tons per year of solvent-free barrier film adhesive B, 50,000 tons per year of high-solid-content, low-VOC functional polyurethane adhesives, 10,000 tons per year of water-based polyurethane resins, 13,000 tons per year of polyester polyols B, 6,000 tons per year of solvent-based polyester polyols, 10,000 tons per year of acrylic adhesives for functional film materials, and 5,000 tons per year of water-based acrylic adhesives ； 5,000 tons per year of fast-drying eco-friendly diluents, 3,000 tons per year of conventional eco-friendly diluents, 2,000 tons per year of slow-drying eco-friendly diluents, 5,000 tons per year of water-based surface treatment agents, 1,000 tons per year of water-based color-changing surface treatment agents, 5,000 tons per year of UV-curable coatings, 1,500 tons per year of silicone resin material A, 1,500 tons per year of silicone resin material B, 8,000 tons per year of conventional curing agents, 1,000 tons per year of water-based curing agents, and 1,000 tons per year of yellowing-resistant curing agents. The total annual production capacity is 168,000 tons.
