In common foreign-funded projects, we often encounter owners or designers who adopt ASME codes. For example, some designed storage tanks use API 620, while the inspection methods employed are those specified by ASME, such as RT. . . In our country, testing standards such as GB50128, GB150, and JB4730 are used. So what should we do? In my personal opinion, the manufacturing process can follow API 620, while non-destructive testing must adhere to JB4730. . . In that case, a conflict arises between domestic standards and foreign standards. . . .
For this issue, it would be best if the diagram had clear specifications! Just follow the instructions in the diagram; for anything that isn’t specified, use the standard that is higher. If the external output standards are not clear, check the national standards directly!
What you say is also correct, but do you really think that local authorities – especially departments such as quality supervision stations and boiler inspection agencies – will carry out supervision and inspections in accordance with foreign standards? . . Your foreign standards will be recognized. . .
This should be a common issue; generally, higher standards should be applied, and the equipment inspection agency should approve it! !
