Our company’s tank farm has relatively small storage tanks; the variety of oils stored there is greater than what was planned, and the storage capacity is insufficient, which limits operations. We would like to carry out technical upgrades to the tank farm. Could anyone please advise us on any good options for such upgrades?
As long as there is enough space in the overall layout, storage tanks can definitely be added.
Are you a refined oil depot or an oil refinery? Is there any design margin for the total area of the facility, or do you need to purchase new land for construction? It’s better to add more oil tanks, increasing the storage capacity for a specific type of oil depending on the actual production conditions! Furthermore, increase the turnover coefficient of the oil tanks, and maximize the utilization factor of these tanks within the limits permitted by safety regulations!
