Pickling and purification filler for packed towers

In mineral acid production, packed towers are used in the dilute acid washing and purification section. What type of packing is generally best for use in such towers? We are using 50mm Haier rings, but the resistance is high. I wonder what kind of packing you are using, how deep it is filled, and what the resistance level is?
This post was last edited by hmlczf on 2012-12-31 at 12:34. A stepped ring or rectangular saddle ring with a value of 50 or 76 will do; plastic rings should be used instead of ceramic ones. The resistance should be around 0.5 kPa, and the height should be 4 to 4.5 meters.
It is best to use an air spray tower, as it has low resistance

We use 50 Haier rings, with a height of 5.5 meters and a resistance of 0.3~0.5 Kpa.
This year, we switched to using PP material for the empty tower cleaning
I agree with your view. The key is how to choose a nozzle. Are there any national standards for nozzles at present?
