What are the reasons for the trays being blown in the opposite direction? How can you tell if the tray is being blown in the wrong direction without stopping the machine?
The gas load is too high, resulting in tower flooding or rapid vaporization of water; there are issues with the quality of the tray installation, and the products at the bottom and top of the tower are not up to standard! Multiple parameter adjustments still result in failure!
Tray flooding mainly occurs when the operational meteorological load is increased suddenly, resulting in an excessive reboiling rate and thus high gas velocities that cause the trays to flood. For towers with numerous temperature measurement points, analysis of temperature changes as well as pressure differences across various sections and throughout the entire tower can be used as a reference. If the distillation column is designed with a large margin of safety, flooding one or two trays has little impact on the quality of the product produced by the column. If it operates under high load, it will result in product purity that does not meet the standards.
