There are many flowcharts for the distillation tower system; where should one start to understand each line one by one?
Take your time and look at them separately: the heating system, the cooling system, the vacuum system, the material handling system, and so on
Slurry oil, reprocessed oil, middle fraction, diesel, top circulation, and so on – all clearly outlined one by one~
I don’t know what the function and purpose of materials entering and leaving this tower are; I only understand that they move from one tower to another, but it seems like I’m only getting a superficial understanding
So take your time, and ask the master more questions
Are there any books I could read to gain some knowledge? Otherwise, the questions I ask are too simplistic
It’s okay; asking for help from those with more knowledge is a sign of a desire to learn. I often tell new employees that if they don’t understand something, they should ask me or their mentors – they can ask about anything. It’s normal not to know everything since you’re just starting out. If you don’t ask now and still don’t understand after a year or so, you won’t be able to ask the same questions later on. On one hand, you might feel too embarrassed to ask, and on the other hand, your mentors may not be able to help you if they can’t see what exactly you don’t understand.
