What are the symptoms of a low top temperature in a distillation tower? How should this be handled? Please advise
It mainly depends on the quality of the product at the bottom of the tower; since there are more light components in this product, it is possible to increase the temperature at the top of the tower； There are too few light components in the product at the bottom of the tower, which allows the temperature at the top of the tower to be reduced and the recovery rate to be increased ；
A low tower top temperature results in a lower dry point of the product and a reduced specific gravity.
If phenomena are primarily judged by the quality indicators of products. The top temperature is low; if the reflux rate is not adjusted, the dry point and flash point of the product will definitely not meet the requirements. If it’s a phenomenon that occurs at the installation site, it’s simply an increase in the air-cooling load or the louvers being fully opened, which results in an increased flow rate of water in the water cooler (such adjustments are generally not made).
