Commonly, wire mesh foam catchers are used in the drying tower, while fiber foam catchers are used in the first and second absorption towers. Why are foam catchers used differently in dry towers and absorption towers? Request the correct answer. . . . .
1. The wire mesh demister used in the drying tower is mainly used to remove acid foam, while the fiber mist eliminator used in the absorption tower is primarily used to remove acid mist; their particle sizes are different. The main differences lie in the filtration precision, resistance, and efficiency. 2. The reason why a fiber mist eliminator is not used in the drying tower is mainly to avoid clogging. 3. Sulfur trioxide is prevalent in the absorption tower; it is highly corrosive and requires high-level mist removal, for which fiber mist eliminators are commonly used.
