The top temperature is around 96 degrees, resulting in poor regeneration efficiency. It is desired to raise this temperature above 100 degrees; this can be achieved by gradually increasing the bottom temperature. The bottom temperature was raised to 125 degrees, but the top temperature did not increase, and there were still frequent issues with pressure surges in the tower
Is the tower bottom liquid level accurate? Is there a possibility of the tower being flooded? Or is there a possibility that the tower is blocked?
Is the return flow system okay? Is there too much light hydrocarbon in the rich liquid, resulting in poor flashing? Is there still liquefied gas carried in the device?
Could there be a problem with foaming? This is a common issue.
Is the regeneration tower a tray? Has the tray fallen off?
An increase in the heating temperature at the bottom of the tower is not transmitted to the top of the tower quickly. Observe the pressure changes in the middle section of the tower; a surge in pressure occurs when heating is too rapid, so try to operate in a steady manner and avoid raising the temperature at the bottom of the tower too quickly
Inspect the tray and adjust the water content of the solution.
First, the tray might fall off. Second, the amount of liquid flowing from the bottom of the tower to the reboiler may be insufficient; in this case, the connection between the lean liquid at the tower bottom and the liquid-phase inlet of the reboiler can be opened. Third, there could be an issue with the solvent – we encountered the same problem when we first started operations, but it was resolved by switching to a solvent from another manufacturer
What should the pressure at the top of the tower be? Does increasing the temperature at the bottom of the tower raise the pressure at the top?
