What should be done if the suction pipe of the pump is quite long? ? What devices should be installed on the suction pipe? ? What issues should be noted? ?

Generally, nothing is added to the inlet pipe. There is a shut-off valve (fully open/fully closed) at the equipment outlet. For pumps operating in a primary/standby configuration, a shut-off valve must also be installed at the pump inlet
A foot valve should be installed at the bottom of the inlet pipe to prevent backflow of liquid in the inlet pipe after the pump is stopped, which could cause flooding when the pump is started again. Sometimes it’s really hard to pump it in.
Generally, the suction height of a pump is limited, so the suction pipe should not be too long. I don’t understand why there’s a need to restrict your piping by requiring such a long suction pipe
If the liquid level of the material is higher than that of the pump, there will be no problems as long as the installation meets the requirements; when installing a self-priming tank, attention must be paid to its capacity and vacuum level, and the pipes should not be too long

A shut-off valve and a filter should be installed on the pump inlet pipeline. If the pipeline is too long, it is necessary to calculate the pressure loss in the pipeline to determine whether it can meet the process requirements
After some rough calculations, the total pipeline loss is around 2 meters, and the pump’s self-priming height is also around 2 meters. The liquid flows from the packing tower to the pump’s inlet by gravity, with the liquid level being higher than the pump’s inlet (self-priming). Is there any problem with this? ?

I have FRPP pipes with a diameter of DN100; the length of each pipe is 30 meters. There is 1 elbow of DN125, 1 sight glass of DN125, 1 tee of DN125, 1 concentric reducer from DN125 to DN100, 3 ball valves of DN100. Additionally, there is 1 tee of DN100XDN80, 1 ball valve of DN80, and 1 concentric reducing fitting from DN80 to DN65. The diameter of the pump inlet pipe is DN65. The liquid level in the packing tower is about 3 meters above the pump inlet. Is this sufficient? ?
