I would like to ask everyone: what is the difference between 58U and 59U? The seal ring of 58U is made of compressible materials such as fluororubber, while that of 59U is covered with PTFE, an incompressible sealing material? ? ? During use, if the medium being transported is of the same type and contains substances such as organic acids that can dissolve fluororubber, then compressible seals made of PTFE or other fluoropolymer materials must be used. However, when the temperature difference changes, the incompressible seal ring will leak. Use perfluoroethers; they’re also extremely expensive.
That’s indeed the case; it seems there’s no better solution – perfluoroethers cost several thousand dollars per two cycles. . . . .
The moving components of 59U use PTFE wedge seals rather than square ones; with proper design and manufacturing, they can provide a decent level of sealing performance. The rubber portion in the PTFE-coated O-rings is also elastic. Of course, this elasticity certainly can’t compare to that of perfluoroethers!
Use a PTFE V-ring; Dandong Klon has them

The outer ring of the fluorine-coated O-ring is made of FEP material, which has properties similar to those of PTFE; the inner ring is made of fluororubber or silicone rubber, and it serves to provide elasticity, with little impact on corrosion resistance.

Touch sensation does not indicate whether a seal is possible or not; fluorinated O-rings have been in use for a long time without any problems. We cannot rely on intuition to make judgments – we need to base our decisions on actual usage.
Tetrafluoro V-rings and fluorinated O-rings are relatively inexpensive options; of course, perfluoroethers are the best choice, and you know the price for those as well. So there are many options; the key is to consider your needs. Good quality at low prices is just a psychological notion; it doesn’t actually exist.

It depends on the size of your O-ring; DuPont Kalrez ones aren’t that expensive. Channels are too important
