On the afternoon of January 30, 2008, the layout of the Interpretation Club was adjusted. The adjusted sections are divided into 4 in total: 1. Chemical Engineering Foreign Language Exchange Section ； 2. General Foreign Language Communication Area ； 3. Chemical Engineering Foreign Language Materials Section ； 4. General Foreign Language Resources Section ； This adjustment mainly involves the addition of a general foreign language communication area. The purpose of creating this area is to provide a platform for people to share their experiences and questions related to everyday, non-professional English learning. Currently, the forum servers are under heavy load. Under such circumstances, the administrators’ decision to allow us to create this section is a great show of support for the Interpretation Club; we should cherish this support and strive to improve the quality of the posts. At the same time, with the increase in partitions, the workload related to thread management also increases. In the past, for posts that did not comply with the rules, I would use text messages or by editing the thread titles to assist members; in the future, I will do this less often. However, the quality of management still needs to be ensured; moreover, the existing rules were somewhat inappropriate after the division into sections, so the rules for each section need to be revised. I hope everyone will share their thoughts freely on the content and formulation of the new rules, so as to turn our Interpretation Club into a top-quality section of HaiChuan!

I also suggest that moderators frequently go to the transaction area or other sections to promote our club – many people seem not to be aware of it, and there are quite a few English-related issues in those other sections as well: handshake

Then it might be better to call it a “Professional Foreign Language Communication Area,” as that covers a wider range. The general area should be for everyday foreign language communication. As for the rules, defining the content related to the theme of this area should suffice to address the issue
Dividing it into two forums **improved forum management. But when it comes to discussion threads, the scope of translations related to the chemical industry is quite broad; there are also other types of content such as technical and commercial contracts, letters, etc. These materials include both general English and specialized chemical industry terminology, making it difficult to determine whether they should be placed in the “Chemical Industry Discussion Area” or the “General English Area”.
I think the chemical communication area and the general communication area could be combined into a foreign language communication area, which would have sections for listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
