I would like to discuss with everyone which aspects within chemical engineering design, such as piping, process design, and overall layout, are more promising or interesting. Or talk about your favorite one, explain why you like it or something; you don’t have to talk about that either – you can just talk about what you like to eat~ Hahaha~ It would be great if you could include instructions on how to make it~ I hope the experts will kindly share their knowledge~

Next are the supervisors; there are few opportunities for taking bribes, and only the bosses can do so. Next is HVAC; there are many freelance jobs, and it’s profitable. Process engineering, piping, and structural engineering are the stupidest fields – they’re exhausting and pay poorly. The only advantage is that one can work as a project manager. (Being a structural project manager is tough; it’s the most difficult job.)

This process design seems quite promising; those who are good at using simulation software can work in research institutes conducting scientific research, or even work in software companies in after-sales support roles. Working with pipes is the most exhausting; the income isn’t as good as that in the processing field. The field of mechanical pumps must be quite boring

In small companies, everything related to piping and similar things is handled by the process engineers, and even small-scale equipment and pumps are designed through process calculations. As for whether it’s a leader in this field, the manufacturing process requires expertise and control; once the process is changed, the related industries must adjust accordingly, and of course, there needs to be a basis for such changes. When it comes to high incomes, it’s definitely the income from construction; even certificates in this field are more valuable than those in the chemical industry. And they can also take on private jobs, as for kickbacks and such. I’m not sure about this. If I had a choice back then, I would have chosen to leave the chemical industry. I’ve been in this field for so many years now; there’s nothing else to do. I’ll wait for an opportunity to change careers
Yes, civil engineering requires less time and effort in projects compared to process engineering, and it also brings in good earnings. Moreover, compared to construction companies, the civil engineering tasks in the chemical industry are much simpler; the educational requirements are lower as well, and the difficulty level is significantly reduced. Another aspect is electrical equipment. A colleague of mine who worked in electrical appliance sales once told me that for electrical appliances they sell, they give 4 points to the designer if that designer chooses their products; and an additional 3 points are given to the designer if the client ends up using those products! As people who work on crafts in the courtyard, we only handle the projects, while they are the ones who deal with civil engineering and electrical work. So, if one insists on designing in small courtyards, from an income perspective, craftsmanship is not a very good career choice. If you want to have some ideas in the technical field, then process engineering is essential; it involves working with all kinds of specialties. Having a broad range of knowledge also opens up better prospects for future development, provided that one is willing to make a transition and not stick to process design alone
