This isn’t a problem at all. It’s mainly non-insulated pipelines, which are essentially pipelines within the factory area – that is, the usual utility pipes. The thermal expansion of these pipes is very small, and there are no pipe supports; instead, round steel bars are used to fix them to the pipe racks. There are definitely some measures in place to prevent issues. Even the friction coefficient between steel and steel is only 0.3, so most owners skip this step. But if the owner really insists on adding it, there’s no problem at all.

I would like to ask again: it is indeed the round steel bars that are used to fix the pipes to the pipe supports, but in that case, at the support points the pipe only serves for fixation and guidance; don’t the bends in the pipe restrict its lateral movement?
