Common viscous media include liquid sulfur, glacial acetic acid, asphalt, residue (heavy) oil, etc. What precautions should be taken when using marine loading/unloading arms to handle these viscous media? Minimize the number of bends in the transmission pipes to avoid the formation of dead zones where heating cannot reach (it goes without saying that heating should be provided along the entire length of the pipes). 5. Try to use loading and unloading arms instead of hoses, as it is difficult to empty hoses, they are prone to contamination, and their lifespan is short.
