Thank you, but in a chemical engineering dictionary I found it referred to as WIRE WEB PACKING, which is corrugated mesh packing. I’m not sure if this is accurate Moreover, I noticed that there is a discrepancy between the terms for structured packing as shown on the webpage you provided and those in the dictionary; the dictionary uses “structured packing”!!!
Metal perforated plate corrugated packing is made by drilling holes in a metal sheet, rolling out small ridges and large corrugations, and then assembling them together. It features high strength, strong corrosion resistance, low resistance, uniform gas-liquid distribution, high efficiency, large flow capacity, and strong anti-clogging ability. It is commonly used in distillation separation, vacuum distillation, atmospheric distillation, and absorption processes for thermosensitive systems that are difficult to separate, as well as for high-purity products. Compared to screen corrugations, it is made using a perforated plate with grooves on its surface.
