As the title suggests, what does STL mean in the specifications for pipe fittings? It can’t be referring to Stellite, right?
What medium is it used to transport? Are there catalyst particles present? It’s possible that Stellite has been welded on the inside. It is wear and erosion resistant; there should be an abbreviation for this term in the project description – you’ll understand once you take a look
I couldn’t find the abbreviation explanations right away, but pipelines, elbows, and flanges are generally denoted as FLG WN 300# RF STL STD BORE A105, GLOBE 300# RF STL TRIM:MFR STD, PIPE SCH 80 SMLS STL A106-B; here it probably doesn’t refer to Stellite surfacing
