Hello, fellow sailors: Does tricresylphenol corrode PP? For toluene containing acids, what type of valve material is better?
Tertralin itself isn’t corrosive, right? What kind of acid does it refer to when it says containing acid?
Then use valves with a fluoroplastic lining, valves lined with FEP (F46)

It is best to use PTFE-lined ball valves; PP valves are not recommended for solvents
Fluorinated-lined valves can be used, such as those made of materials like F46 and PFAD
