We have a project that requires lock nuts and washers; we haven’t used them before. Could someone who is familiar with it explain? In what situations is it generally used? Ordinary nuts tend to loosen over time. Its wear resistance, seismic resistance, and reusability are all much worse than those of lock nuts. No, it depends on the situation. If it’s necessary to use it in a certain context, then it has to be used; as long as it achieves the desired result, that’s fine
We have used Type I all-metal hexagonal lock nuts in combination with flat washers and spring washers, and the result has been good
This question has already been answered by itself :) It is generally used in situations where there is significant vibration in pipelines, or for bolts on moving equipment; it’s not necessary for ordinary pipelines!
It has never been used on the pipelines of mechanical equipment I’ve worked on before; I have no experience with it
