What are the codes for ladle graphite and ladle asbestos gaskets? What is the difference between them, and are there any corresponding standards?
HG/T 20631-2009 is the standard for metal-wound gaskets; they are actually made of graphite, while asbestos-based gaskets for ladles have not been seen.
Both wound gaskets and toothed gaskets are available in versions made with ladle graphite or ladle asbestos; graphite gaskets certainly have better high-temperature resistance, while asbestos gaskets offer decent sealing properties. However, for environmental reasons, the use of asbestos-containing gaskets is generally prohibited in projects these days. There are many standards for toothed gaskets and wound gaskets; national standards, as well as standards issued by the Ministry of Machinery, the Ministry of Chemical Industry, and the petrochemical sector exist, such as HG/T20609, HG/T20610, HG/T20630, HG/T20631, etc
