A 160 KM gas pipeline needs to be constructed; what diameter should be chosen?

How can hydraulic calculations be carried out when the pipe diameter hasn’t been determined yet? I’m quite slow to understand; could you explain it in more detail?

First, preset the pipe diameter, then make adjustments after calculations; after a few attempts, the most appropriate pipe diameter can be determined.
