Many friends have asked whether non-metallic pipes can be used with GC1. SH 3161 \"Technical Specifications for Non-metallic Piping in Petrochemical Industries\" specifies in clause 4.1.7 that it cannot be used for flammable, extremely hazardous, and highly hazardous media, thereby ruling out the possibility of its use in GC1 applications. Furthermore, clause 4.1.9 states that PVC-U cannot be used for transporting gases; do you know why?

Polymer materials are essentially a type of network structure. Whenever there is a mesh, there are \"mesh openings,\" and small gas molecules can seep into the material matrix through these openings. Are other plastic materials such as PP, FRPP, and PVC considered composites? Why don’t the standards prohibit these?
Hydrochloric acid is a highly hazardous substance. Currently, non-metallic pipes (such as PE and fiberglass) are widely used for transporting it. Does this violate the regulations specified in 4.1.7? So what kind of pipeline should be chosen for transporting hydrochloric acid?
