During the pressure testing process, gas at the same pressure is filled on both sides of the valve, then the valve is closed, and the pressure is increased on the other side. Here comes the question: Isn’t this considered operating under pressure? Is it permissible to do this?
The question is, what type of valve do you need, and what needs to be protected on the other end? Sealed? For internal leakage testing, this approach is more reasonable: after the valve is closed, it’s fine to release the pressure at one end while maintaining pressure at the other end
