Can an eccentric ball valve be installed in reverse?
I’ve really never seen it before; I need to ask an expert @ValveMingMing
It depends on your specific requirements for the valve, as well as your operating conditions. For example, if flashing occurs during operation, it’s better to use a flow-blocking valve; whereas if the medium is gaseous, a flow-allowing valve is preferable. For those with high requirements for sealing performance, a flow-type seal is better. If it is a control valve, the fault condition also needs to be considered.
If an eccentric ball valve has dual-sealing capabilities, it can be installed in the reverse direction; however, installation in the reverse direction is generally not allowed
