Questions regarding the large and small tube series

After reviewing the differences between the two standards discussed on our forum, namely GB/T 12459 and SH3408, it is stated that \"GB/T 12459 was developed based on ASME B16.9; it refers to steel butt-welding seamless pipe fittings, and is divided into Series I and II, which are designed for small outer diameters.\"； sh3408 is a Steel butt-welded seamless fitting in the large outer diameter series. ”It’s a bit unclear to me; can I understand that GB/T 12459 focuses on Series I, while sh3408 focuses on Series II? This is because generally, Series I belongs to the large-diameter tube category, and Series II belongs to the small-diameter tube category. I’m not sure if my understanding is correct.

The I series is the series with a smaller outer diameter; for pipes below DN200, the outer diameter of the I series is larger than that of the II series.
