Pneumatic cut-off valve opening time

I would like to ask the experts: how can I make a pneumatic cut-off ball valve open slowly when it is supposed to open? Can’t we install a traffic-blocking release? If it works, how do I install it? Thank you
Just connect a throttle valve to the inlet gas line
Install a one-way throttle valve! It opens slowly and closes quickly.
Isn’t it simpler to add a delay in the control logic?
Slow start and fast stop are common settings
