During the hydrostatic test, is the test pressure for the float-type steam trap housing to be 1.5 times the housing’s test pressure, or are there other specifications that dictate this? The main concern is whether the internal components will be affected
It is best to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer, or contact them for technical support. It seems this should be marked with the operating pressure. It still depends on the usage conditions required by the manufacturer; only then will someone be responsible if it gets crushed.
The sealing surface isn’t sealed properly due to a pressure of 1.5 times the shell pressure, and the manufacturer has yet to provide the relevant specifications

GB12251 specifies that the strength of a steam trap is tested under sealed conditions at the inlet and outlet, and the sealing surface of the steam vent should not be used as a seal.
