May I ask, for straight-seam steel pipes welded using plasma welding + TIG welding, is supervision and inspection required for such welded steel pipes? The specifications require that submerged arc welded steel pipes undergo supervised inspection. Is there any company that manufactures these pipes? ?
The \"Rules for Supervision and Inspection of Manufacturing of Pressure Pipeline Components\" (TSG D7001-2013) (hereinafter referred to as the \"Supervision and Inspection Rules\") were originally scheduled to come into effect on July 1, 2013. To implement the requirements of the \"State Council’s Plan for Institutional Reform and Functional Transformation,\" the General Administration is carrying out reforms related to the administrative approval process for special equipment as well as changes in related functions. It is also studying ways to reform the system of administrative permits, with the aim of abolishing or adjusting certain manufacturing permit requirements for pressure pipeline components as specified in the \"Inspection and Testing Rules.\" To ensure that the implementation of the Supervision and Inspection Rules is in line with and coordinated with the reforms related to the licensing process for pressure pipeline components, it has been decided, after consideration, to postpone the implementation of the Supervision and Inspection Rules
You're referring to pipe fittings; submerged arc welded steel pipes and polyethylene pipes still require manufacturing supervision and inspection! But I’m not sure whether plasma welding and TIG welding require manufacturing supervision and inspection – the specifications don’t mention it!
Please go and take a look at this specification before making a decision
Isn’t TSG 21-2016 being implemented everywhere?
