I saw the title description from a trap piping document.: When the outlet pipe of the trap is inserted below the water surface of the water tank, open a Ø8mm hole under the elbow of the outlet pipe. May I ask 1. What is this small hole used for? 2. Where is the location of the small hole in 1.2.3 in the picture?

So if I am feeding a normal pressure hot water tank, do I not need this broken siphon port?
The position of the small hole is at position 3 in the picture. It is mainly to prevent the vacuum from being generated in the pipe after the system pipe network stops air, and to prevent back suction.
Exhaust and drainage; Prevent siphoning (especially when servicing).
At position 3, the exhaust and intake are shared.
The outlet pipe of the trap should not be inserted below the water surface of the water tank. That would solve the problem.
It is to prevent anti-siphoning or back-sucking. This mainly depends on the position difference. My first impression was that this was to prevent suction. I had a similar experience at the scene.
I saw a new information with a more detailed explanation. I would like to share it with everyone to learn together.* one time
