Question: Are there specific regulations stating that gas pipeline valves require support?
There are also those that do not require support, such as those with small pipe diameters where the pipes are relatively fixed and sturdy. For valves with large diameters, it is difficult to fix them without support; moreover, without such support, it becomes inconvenient to align and reset them during disassembly or assembly, which is why support is necessary. Gas pipelines generally have low pressure, large diameters, and thin walls; it is recommended to provide support for the valves. No mandatory standards seem to exist in this regard
Check the bore size, or the weight of the valve body. Or, by choosing a lightweight valve type, no support is needed
