What material would be suitable for pipes carrying dilute sulfuric acid at a temperature of 150 degrees and with a concentration of around 20%? Currently, carbon steel pipes coated with a protective layer have been in use for about half a year, and corrosion and perforations have occurred in many places, resulting in high maintenance costs.

The temperature resistance of fluorocarbon coatings is an issue; when using metal, materials such as Alloy 20 or higher are required. With acrylic coatings, the temperature limit is around T150°C, and corrosion in such conditions is no joke – it’s impossible to use carbon steel in such situations. . .
