Can non-metallic pipes be used for pressure pipelines?

Currently, chemical plants have a large volume of materials of various types, and many of them use non-metallic pipes such as PP and PVC. The TSG-D0001 Regulations on Safety Supervision of Pressure Pipelines – Industrial Pipelines explicitly state that non-metallic pipes are not applicable, and GB20801 also applies only to metal pipes. So, cannot non-metallic pipes be used for pressure pipelines? Or does the use of non-metallic pipes mean that they are not subject to the regulations applicable to pressure pipelines, and thus do not require classification? For example, can non-metallic pipes such as PP be used for carbon monoxide at normal temperature and pressure (which may contain sulfuric acid mist)? If it is used, does it count as a pressure pipeline?
It can be used; non-metallic pipes are included in the **special equipment license. Currently, in industry, plastic pipes are commonly designed and used at temperatures below 120°C and pressures below 1.6 MPa. Be sure to choose manufacturers that hold a special equipment license when making purchases, to avoid potential quality issues.

The issue of appropriate amount you mentioned is a major problem with this type of pipes
It isn’t subject to the regulations you mentioned, but it should not be used in pipelines involving risks. You can go and consult the local special inspection agency on Monday
Isn’t a steel-lined PTFE option better? If you use a plastic pipe, you have to consider the possibility of it breaking
